TSGL: strange processes in XP?Russell W. Coover coover at fastmail.fmTue Jan 6 15:50:05 EST 2004
According to this web page, http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8197 , wltrysvc.exe is a "Broadcom Corporation Wireless Network Tray Applet". It should be there. Hello. I recently installed a Motorla Wireless PCI card. I was checking the task manager on XP and noticed two new Processes. I know they weren't there before. One is BCMWLTRY.EXE. I did a search on my computer and it appears this is a legit Broadcom thing. But when I type in WLTRYSVC.EXE it finds a file but there are no properties for it. I did a search in Google but I can't find anything on it. Does anyone know if this is a legitimate thing? I've done a VirusScan and nothing comes up. Maybe I'm just too paranoid :-) Thanks _______________________________________________ Tech Support Guy Mailing List http://www.tsgserver.com/list/
